I was having this same conversation a week ago with an old friend.
The more my worldview has grown in the last 6 years, the more I recognize great evil in the world, and also the great evil that I’m capable and have to confront through the inter working of the Holy Spirit in me.
The other side has grown too. I’ve also grown to see an unimaginable beauty in the world around us, and real excitement and hope in the good day to come. And my inner man is strengthened by an ever-growing love, joy, truth and much more.
The catch is that it’s not balanced. It’s not “yin and yang.” Light doesn’t share space with darkness. Truth doesn’t share space with lies. Goodness grows exponentially; whereas evil can (at best) grow linearly.
