True story: in 2016 I bought an Apple Watch to celebrate completion of 10 years of medical training…the first thing I did was turn on the orbiting planet watch face and scroll ahead in time…I stopped at July 2020, looked at the picture and said: “oh boy, 2020 is gonna be a heck of a year!” (Look at the nearly perfect linear arrangement of literally every planet you can see with the naked eye; ignore that Pluto and Uranus…you need a telescope to see them)…
Then I was reminded of Genesis 1:14
“(ESV) And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years,…”
The word signs “אוֹת” in Hebrew is used a few different ways in the Old Testament, including as an omen in reference to predicted events (see 1 Sam 10:7,9 for example).
Is there anything to it? I don’t control the universe but, if I did, I shouldn’t think it too hard to do!
