Math as a liberal art is not a political slant. It’s the presence of humanities that has been missing from math education as long as we’ve been alive. We don’t do math - WE ARE MATH

I was more referring to the fact that individuals have the real power - all of these things are a result of the pursuit of power and freedom. There can exist a government unthreatened by these things - it’s a good test to see if a govt is too big

Rob covered it well. I’ll just add that I would teach math the same as I would teach oil painting or music. It would not be compulsory or required in any way - and would consider the maturity of the student when considering how to teach it.
Additionally, it’s not a science or a STEM subject used for vocations ends. At least not in my academy. I’m much more interested in pure math than any application.
That said - when it comes to applications, I’m biased towards cryptography but as a life skill, not a vocation.

The question nobody is asking is what global indices Strategy as a US issuer would even be in.
The only relevant indices MsCI has are EAFE, WORLD, and ACWI ex-US
Of them only WORLD has a sliver of US based exposure

The JV analogy is spot on.
The bigger issue for organizations is that the IT fiefdoms we’ve all grown to know and despise are over and done with - and that means the most supporting those careers is collapsing.
It’s a bit like the power Bitcoin gives to those relying on legacy authority.
There will still be IT careers but the bar to add value is considerably higher and you might need to support a large enterprise to make it worthwhile over just using the tech to build out your own products.
