I'm fine with them using private software and money. I'm not fine sharing all the generous limited resources of relays with infinity spam agents. My consistent argument for why I choose knots and am leaning pro-110 is because spam is also a form of censorship, with a much larger area of collateral damage than what Knots proposes. This one transaction below highlights that you can censor MANY transactions with one abuse of the inscription bug, easily. If people are arguing that limiting this type of transaction is censorship, then I'm arguing it actually frees up room for thousands of real people to transact. It's objectively spam and before Core 30 was thought of as so. I never called core people pedophiles or hopped on board the "legal argument" train. I just think the direction regarding spam that core has gone and miners have gone, is bad for bitcoin and more people should consider we can put an end to it if we get together on this issue.

I think objectively there is way less bitcoin discussion (especially from the technical/privacy/lightning crowd) on twitter than there was Pre-Nostr. It's easy to look here on nostr and see that discussion still happening and conclude maybe it's related.

Yes I built valhalla routing engine directly into the application. Map data tiles are distributed through blossom on first onboarding of the app. I have only built the tiles for the USA/El Salvador/ costa Rica/ Haiti so far, everything runs locally.

I bought Claude code max subscription for 200 bucks. I usually theory craft my applications with Grok and Claude codes it one piece at a time. The key is knowing what tools to use under the hood so you can get the desired effect. Research your favorite open source apps to see what libraries and tools they use for things under the hood and include that in your application summary. I started drivestr and ridestr about 3 weeks ago and i literally code with it 24/7 from the time I wake up til bed. It's a lot of trial and error and paying attention to what the model is saying it's doing is key to seeing where it drifts off plans and course correct it.

The whole thing is vibe coded, but I've tried to triple check everything I implement and I run agents to document every change. I especially try and analyze exactly what the nostr events are broadcasting and making sure users have easy tools to clean up metadata in the app's account safety screen. So I made a Nostr Rideshare Protocol, and two apps: Ridestr and Drivestr
It relies on no company and no proprietary servers. All communication and synchronization is Nostr. All ride fares are calculated locally by your phone using routing map data delivered via blossom on first launch, and It uses the locally running android geocoder and or GrapheneOS geocoder for name to address search experience. Default payment method is Cashu over Bitcoin/Lightning, but I plan to expand with Nostr Wallet Connect options, as well as a pay in cash option (that drivers can filter out if they don't want to deal with it). Wallets are synced via NIP-60 nostr wallets for cashu. All other app profile features are synced cleanly with nostr.
I will be open sourcing it of course when it's ready to launch. Android only so far, but I fully plan to make an IOS version if people like the idea.
The cashu implementation has been buggy, so I'm working through the bugs on that one day at a time, but let me know if you wanna see it!

Testing a payment flow in my app has been brutal for my wallet lol. For same mint operations I set up a test cashu mint with test sats, and that was going great, but then I had to test multi-mint, so i just started testing with real funds on multiple mints because it was too much of a pain to set up another test mint.
