One thing that's always bothered me about modern physics is that they don't adhere to the scientific method in the interpretation of the most basic, repeatable experiments.
The scientific method is supposed to be you observe something, you hypothesize (guess) what's going on, then you conduct experiments to try to disprove the guess. Experiments don't ever prove the guess correct, and competing experiments that conflict with multiple guesses rule out all the guesses.
So the double-slit and single-slit experiments prove that light is NEITHER a particle (in the sense scientists use the term) NOR a wave. One experiment rules out one, the other experiment rules out the other. Instead of concluding that both guesses were wrong because they were contradicted by evidence, scientists decided both experiments proved contradictory theories correct and that light is a wave AND a particle. The scientifically rigorous explanation is that light is NEITHER.

Here's a good example of a sudoku technique I use which I haven't seen discussed.
If the highlighted square at the bottom was a 6 or a 9, it would make it so the 6s and 9s in the bottom two squares could be switched around and still solve the puzzle.

If Bitcoins are the entries in computer memory, they may or may have these wondeful properties but are not scarce.
If Bitcoins are the things to which the ledger entries refer, they don't exist.
One way you can see that Bitcoiners don't think clearly is that they refer to the network, the code, the ledger, and the ledger units all as "Bitcoin".
If you make a firm distinction between the ledger and the ledger entries and the ledger units you see immediately that's it's totally absurd to give up your time and energy for these ledger entries.

How did you come to the conclusion that the Christian Bible (and which version anyway, Lutheran?) teaches true doctrines but everything else is false?
If I wanted to understand some historical event I would consult all of the documents of the time + the most recent and comprehensive historical analysis. I would not assume to start that some documents were correct and others false, but only come to such a conclusion comparing each to objective facts as best I understand those.

At 54 rapes per 100k population per year and 60 years of potential rape I show "only" 3.5% of women being victims
If you assume 54 is per total population and the rapes only target women (so effectively double the rate), and the women are targets for 80 years, you still get less than 9% of women as victims
But the math I started with took the 1 in 4 stat at face value and assumed 1 in 16 raped twice, 1 in 64 raped 3 times, and so on
If you look at that you get 65,000 women in Sweden raped 3+ times

I had academic awards which I was told would make the Ivy League pursue me to attend.
I was offered a full scholarship to Illinois Tech and one of the UTexas satellites, both on the basis of academic merit.
I took a 4-year scholarship and completed both a BS & MS within those 4 years.
I was offered nothing and not accepted in the Ivies.
My father went to a respectable university (not quite Ivy but close).
I was not accepted there.
I have zero doubt that my race and sex were major factors.
On the one hand I am grateful for the life I now lead (and the lack of student debt).
On the other hand I do resent that discrimination prevented me from pursuing a much more prestigious academic or professional career.
