The old Pahlavi monarchy was truly awful, one of the worst dictatorships. One of the worst things my country ever did was stifle Iran’s democracy.
The current pretender and his family have been out of power for 45 years. Reza is a pretender, not a dictator.
Meanwhile the current regime is WORSE than the old one by any possible metric. They just massacred thousands, verified. And you haven’t said a single negative word about them. Ever! Puzzling.

HRF has since its inception worked to help people inside Iran and we have been categorically against the actual (not imaginary) dictatorship there. I am very proud of that.
I also personally am against Pahlavi. HRF does not support him.

Vibe coded my first actually helpful thing (for me personally) in the last day, with help from @npub1zxu…cx2y via Claude code desktop
I made an app that rips YouTube videos (or any video file) and auto-hardcodes really good captions and gives you a nice little file ready for sharing on social. Really fast. Vibe-coded a nice chrome extension for it as well.
My sense is 90% of the vibe coding posting stuff and slop on social is hugely exaggerated (“one-shotting”) but that in a matter of hours a non-technical person can accomplish some really interesting stuff, esp if they can get some advice from a good coder
And this will only get more crazy in 6 and 12 and 18 months…
