At least I'm self aware about it. Not exactly proud of it, but it is a deep-rooted belief I have, that spending "the extra money" on the top of the line item (when it comes to tech, anyway) is worth sparing myself the headache of becoming an expert on all the specs and wasting hours on pointless, ad-infested searches.

Hell yes! Right now, with Word5 and its nostr integration, I guess it's tracking stats, but I'd like something a bit more exciting.
Off the top of my head, some sort of speed round, maybe a heads up bracket thing. Would have to come up with a way to weigh time to solve and turns to get there, with some details around tie breaks, but it could mayyyybe work

Noted. Not usually into used phones. Not that I'm a snob about it, but the one time I got a refurbished phone (AppleCare replacement...was surprised to learn they often give you refurbished instead of new phone) in the past, there were minor things about it which were just a bit off. The speaker was a bit off, for one thing, and it just didn't feel quite as "snappy" as the same phone did purchased new.

Hmm, let's see... I did a very basic search earlier and saw the 10 pro was actually cheaper, but still 1k or so. If I do an earnest search, I get... well, sheeyit, it's harder to get a clear price than I thought. Looks like it's around 900 or so for either model, best I can tell. It's hard out here when you don't just obey Tim Apple's recommendations.

Will be working on that soon. Got a GOS buddy or two who might go on the journey with me, so that's cool. Prob need a few weeks, minimum, before we invest in new hardware etc.
I'm a bit of a lazy tech shopper, inclined to just buy new/expensive (not insane levels) to avoid having to study comparisons in depth to no end. Quick look at pixel lineup seems to show there's not much savings in going older models, so unless you have STRONG recommendation otherwise, guess I'll likely go 10 pro.

We're all guilty of seeking leaders to different extents. It's honestly embarrassing at my age when I catch myself doing it.
I like the idea of hiding authors a bit more, could be interesting. Wouldn't really work well for my follow feed, the way I use it, as I often look for who. Is posting or replying to find interesting things quickly. And not necessarily popular people, just those I identified as good filters for topics mostly.
