Been listening to Lawrence for a long time, he is a reasonable man. People were fooled to not believe in God and to believe in energy from stars and astrology instead. But these people you mentioned (villagers etc) wouldn't do anything there with btc if certain infra or tools were not first set up by the nerds in the 1st world countries who are sitting in their chomfy gaming chairs and putting laser eyes on thier avatars :) those in danger zones are simply too busy fighting for basics. Waste of money and time, polititians don't care, especially about fixing the country. The book can only tell them that Bitcoin works aginst them. Better focus efforts on educating the society, then politicians will follow what society wants, e.g. USA where some politicians use Bitcoin slogans to get some votes

On the other hand: imagine you want to rent your place out, and the guys that are coming are totally anonymous, you can't find out who they are in any way. Would you rent it out? In some way nostr is also good for tracking. Imagine in 10 yrs from now on sth like nostrbnb you ask ai to give you the opinion on some npub, if he is not enough "real", never proved he is a normal human being, you would probably not accept him as a guest. I am not pro social credit or whatever, but the verifications are needed because some people are not honest, they wouldn't pay that rent to you if they could avoid it. The guy will create a new keypair and run away, how will you find him?
