1000% this! I tried for a week to setup a Strike account and couldnt prove to them I was me. My passport, bank statements, etc were not good enough. All because I am currently outside my home country. I've had all my CEX accounts closed numerous times because they think I'm stealing my money if I transfer to a wallet they don't approve.

Can you consider using close-able modals to facilitate app exploration?
For example, I've never used your Swap feature, so if I click on it I immediately get a message about backing up in case there is an issue.
It blocks the entire screen and is not close-able, so I have no way to go back and now must force close the app.
And I still didn't get any info on what swaps you offer.

Quick follow-up guys on the replit webapp I've been working on. Would love your thoughts...
As a 25yr UX Vet that worked with Devs daily, I started to question how 'real' this webapp was. Meaning how much can I actually trust the underlying security and maintainability of the code if I launch it and start to get 100's of users?
Should I view the Replit code as a quick proof of concept and then expect I'll need to hire a dev to actually build it 'properly', 'securely', etc.?
Basically, it doesn't seem real that I can code up this app in replit, launch it, build up a user base, and somehow it will be secure and maintainable when I don't really know the code behind it is correct...

Day 6 trying to get Strike, Coinbase, or Kraken to believe I'm a real person.
Apparently there is a business opportunity in the ID verfication space for people who are living a non-traditional life, i.e. traveling the world. Despite being born and raised in US, having a permanent address, bank statements, etc. all in the US, only having residency in the US, I still cannot have access to these things because my IP and cellphone are not in the US.
@npub1cn4…3vle - I sent you a DM w/ the info you requested, but DMs are NOSTR aren't reliable. I sent it both gift-wrapped and non. Let me know if there is anything I can do here.

I understand completely the thinking you are doing. However, from an outside perspective it sounds like self-deprecating thinking.
Question some assumptions you may have:
WHY can you not make your 30 years of experience count?
HOW do you know they would cost too much?
Only trying to help and again, I completely understand as I was never able to solve this problem either with my work, but may be a worth exercise to try and sit with it.

I had a similar conversation with a friend who is a tattoo artist. People would question his prices, but he was one of the best in the area and had 20 yrs experience. This also meant he was efficient and fast.
People that are not artists don't understand that art isn't time + materials. You are paying for the 20 years of experience that it takes to get that quality.

In one week I created designs in Figma and now have a functional webapp that allows users to create events, tag them, upload an image. They can sign up via email, facebook, gmail. I also have an Admin Dashboard that allows me to handle all the backend.
Now I'm going through and cleaning up UI items.
So far it has cost me about $80.00 with Replit to do this.
What do you recommend as next steps, are you using Replit to deploy, host, etc.?
I still need to sign-up for some Google and Facebook API items, but other than that I'm just about ready to deploy and test!

@npub1cn4…3vle - I've been trying to signup since Monday to your app. I cannot get past KYC. Apparently living on a sailboat and traveling around the world isn't part of the 'normal' way of life. I'm born US citizen, only a US resident, but currently don't have a US Cellphone or IP. Any help? Again, I'm fully legit and only USA on all documentation, permanent address is still US.
I get an email once each night from your support team suggesting things that haven't helped.

Yep, struggling to find out how to use USD to buy ANY TOKEN without KYC. All the Bisq, Robosats, etc. don't let send money from US Bank system. Strike, Coinbase, etc. all need IDs to connect a bank....killing me

We live in the jungle, so these are part of daily life. They do a bang-up job keeping bugs down, but to keep them out of the house, a bit of peppermint in water and spray them and around the area...they don't like that too much.
