Der Ketchup ist raus aus der Flasche. Es wäre naiv, zu glauben, eine Alice Weidel könnte alles wieder in 6 Monaten richten, das wird auf keinen Fall passieren, auch nicht bei einer gewonnen Wahl.
Dennoch bete ich für alle Deutschen, die sich einen wahren Wechsel mit richtigen Reformen wünschen. (Gemeint sind nicht 360 Grad Reformen und Hoffnungsspeck 🥓 von Annalenchen.)
Die #AfD sehe ich als kleinstes Übel aller wählbaren Parteien, Frau Weidel hat zumindest wirtschaftliches Sachverständnis, das einer einst führenden Industrienation helfen kann. Im übrigen kenne ich viele hart arbeitende Einwanderer, die gerne blau wählen. Die 3 Landtagswahlen werden spannend.

Längst vorbei die goldenen Zeiten der Golddeckung, wodurch der US-Dollar zur Weltwährung nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg wurde.
Bis der damaligen Präsident Nixon 1971 sie aufgeben musste.
Der Vietnamkrieg kostete so viel, dass die Notenpresse rotierte und das Versprechen, für jeden Dollar jederzeit ein bestimmte Menge Gold bekommen zu können, nicht mehr aufrechterhalten werden konnte.
Rund 216’000 Tonnen sind im Verlauf der Menschheitsgeschichte aus der Erde gefördert worden, sie stellen aktuell einen Wert von über 30 Billionen – 30’000 Milliarden – Dollar dar.
Das entspricht einem Würfel von einer Kantenlänge von rund 20 Metern. Fast die Hälfte dieses Würfels ist in Schmuck verarbeitet, Zentralbanken halten lediglich 17,2 Prozent, als Investment werden 20,4 Prozent gehortet.
Viel wertvoller als Spekulationen, ob der Goldpreis nun weiter steigen wird, und wenn ja, bis wohin, ist eine andere Information.
Gold ist ein schuldenfreier Wert. Allerdings hat es diesen Wert nur, wenn es sich physisch im Besitz befindet.
Es gibt einen ganzen Zoo von Goldbesitz. In Form von Gold-ETFs oder Gold-ETCs. Goldminen-ETFs, dazu Gold-Zertifikate, Futures, Optionen, digitales Gold oder Goldkonten.
All das hat einen entscheidenden Nachteil. Im Ernstfall ist es ein Stück Papier oder eine flimmernde Zahl auf dem Bildschirm.
Wertlos, wenn das Versprechen, dass die Anlage in physisches Gold umgewandelt werden kann, nicht erfüllt wird.
Physisch gedeckte Goldbestände liegen bei ungefähr 4’000 Tonnen. Zertifikate, der Derivate-Zoo macht ein Vielfaches davon aus, Grössenordnung mehr als Faktor 100 zu 1.
Der Anleger hat hier lediglich den Anspruch auf physisches Gold. Der eingelöst wird – oder auch nicht.
Also her mit dem Goldvreneli oder dem Goldbarren. Nur: Wo lagern?
Wie man kürzlich wieder erfahren musste, ist der Inhalt eines Bankschliessfachs – wenn überhaupt – nur bis Grössenordnung 10’000 Franken gedeckt.
Zusätzliche Versicherungen sind gut, aber der Nachweis des tatsächlichen Inhalts nach einem Bankraub ist auch so eine Sache.
Also bleibt das Aufbewahren im trauten Heim. Auch da kann natürlich ein böser Bube einbrechen. Aber letztlich ist das die sicherste Methode der Aufbewahrung.
Unter der Matratze, hinter dem Kleiderschrank, im Garten vergraben, so vorhanden.
Aber wer hat, der hat.
Das galt früher einmal auch für internationale Finanzbeziehungen. Notenbanken lagerten einen gewissen Teil ihrer Goldreserven im Ausland. Als Sicherheit oder aus anderen Gründen.
Selbstverständlich war das, ausserhalb von Kriegszeiten, unantastbar. Nun sind weder die USA noch die EU noch die Schweiz im Krieg mit Russland.
Dennoch wurden Vermögensbestände von rund 300 Milliarden Dollar der russischen Zentralbank eingefroren.
Das kann natürlich auch bei Gold passieren. So hat Deutschlands Bundesbank, der zweitgrösste Goldbesitzer nach den USA, zwar zur Hälfte ihr Gold in Frankfurt eingelagert.
Aber 37 Prozent bei der US-Notenbank in New York und 12 Prozent bei der Bank of England.
Die schlaue Schweiz lagert rund 70 Prozent selbst ein, 20 Prozent bei der Bank of England und 10 Prozent bei der Bank of Canada.
Viel wichtiger als die Beantwortung der Frage, wohin der Goldpreis zukünftig abschwirren wird, ist die Erkenntnis, dass nur der physische Besitz von Gold garantiert, dass man wirklich Eigentümer ist.
