Shakespeare AI only has 2 models currently.
You can add other providers in Settings -> AI and then select the provider that has the models you want. In this case for Kimi 2.5, you can use Moonshot AI, OpenRouter or Routstr.
Moonshot AI and OpenRouter would require API Keys, but Routstr accepts ecash tokens.
I'll talk with the team about adding a lower cost model now that there's an option available that's open-source and relatively competent.

Kimi 2.5 released recently if you want to try that; it’s a cheap model that’s better at front end design from what I’ve tried so far
Claude definitely runs up a tab

Won’t run into an event size limit, but you’ll end up being rate limited for posting 100,000 events (instead of 1 event with 100,000 tags)

Have you seen the generative UI stuff where AI builds the interface on the fly? It’s not an app in the conventional sense, it’s just a uniquely generated interface specific to your task that’s immediately created and discarded
