Instead of using the Blitz LNURL address, you need to establish an NWC connection with your Nostr client. However, Blitz NWC is still in an early, experimental stage, so LNURL remains the most reliable method for receiving payments.

Sometimes Spark doesn’t return the correct balance. Usually, closing and reopening the app fixes the issue. If not DM us so we can debug your specific case.

A new Blitz update is now available, focused on making onboarding smoother and gift claiming fully dependable.
The account setup process now loads faster, building on our previous reduction of onboarding steps. New users can get to their first self-custodial Bitcoin payment with less waiting and less friction.
We also resolved reports of incomplete Bitcoin gift amounts. That issue has been fixed, and an advanced claiming tool has been added so you can review past gifts and claim any remaining sats you might have missed.

The current privacy upgrade was all outward-facing, it removes your Bitcoin balance and transactions from public Spark explorers so people cannot look up your wallet balance from your Spark address.
We unfortunately overlooked the NWC wallet when adding the privacy configuration, which is why it still shows. We will make sure to fix that when we give NWC a better look.

We believe we found the issue. On some Android versions, a deeplink (the process from going from one app to the other) isn’t cleared so unless you kill the app it will continuously handle the event, which is what you were experiencing.

On-chain payments require two operations: someone sending the payment to you and you claiming the payment. The pending amount is an estimate of what you’ll get; the claim amount is the amount you actually receive, based on on-chain fees which is variable.

So there's an interesting question. If a Blitz users only uses Spark for Lightning swaps and also uses a VPN would you consider that ok.
There’s no cross link between users and lightspark doesn’t have the IP. Plus, they don’t know who sent or revived the payments from that user.

For anyone reading, we hope this has been an informative discussion.
In short, Spark payments have a few important privacy nuances. Transactions that stay entirely within Spark, Spark-to-Spark, aren’t private and reveal a link between users. When two Spark users pay each other over Lightning, the connection on a Spark explorer is obscured, but timing analysis can still expose the receiver. If you send from your Spark wallet to an external Lightning wallet, Spark only has the same level of visibility as any other LSP. When receiving from an external Lightning wallet into Spark, Spark similarly knows only what an LSP would about the sender. However, the receiver isn’t completely private either, timing attacks can reveal the receiving address and wallet balance, making it less private than a standard Lightning receive.

The main criticism @Rizful.com has is that because Spark is based on an API, IP and other information are attached to the HTTPS request. But that same information is attached to all internet requests to any service, including nostr.
