yes these are all risks...business is a risk - some people are willing to take risks (investors) and some are not (savers)
If you have adequate savings, it is OK to invest, or create.
Yes there is risk, if there wasn't, there would be no return.
If the market demands a different method of accounting and auditing, it will happen.
Startegy's stock or preferred's are not an either/or proposition. If you understand bitcoin, that is the best risk/reward there is. Saylor himself says over and over "just hold bitcoin". But if you have enough bitcoin, maybe investing a little in MSTR that can concievably beat a bitcoin hurdle rate is attractive

if you need to maintain a cash balamce of $20k you are losing $2k/yr to inflation, and missing 50%/yr in bitcoin...so the opportunity cost of having a cash balance is $12k/yr or more depending on your expenses

the other advantage of borrowing is it increases the amount of BTC you own...if you sell off your stack to pay expenses...its gone
lets say you have a major expense...you need a new propeller and its $24,000.
option A: you sell .25 BTC, and now you have less
option B: borrow $100k, buy the prop, AND buy .75 BTC
got the thing you needed, have more btc, and can pay off the loan with a new one, ( using less btc when its due.)..rinse and repeat

You don't have to sell bitcoin, you can borrow against it, no taxes...and you are shorting fiat.
Some things are so captured by regulation, it is extremely difficult to buy with bitcoin.
HODLing bitcoin IS ALSO BEING USED AS A MEDIUM OF EXCHANGE. It is a trade from your present self to your future self. The "medium of exchange" vs "store of value" argument is a false one. They are the same thing.
Bitcoin cannot become a medium of exchange without being the majority of cash balances...the majority of wealth has to be bitcoin before it becomes money in the sense that it is used more transactionally.

Was 2020 the Psychotic Break?
I just finished messaging with a friend, who asked me about some “chem trails” he noticed, and took photos of. We messaged back and forth, me essentially explaining that, while they do contain hundreds of pounds of dihydrogen monoxide, you could breathe it and still be fine (unlike Coca Cola or swimming pools, which contain lethal concentrations of the stuff.)
Then it went to cloud seeding, which then led to me saying (typing) “look: flat earth, fake moon landing, geoengineering, chem trails, all just a psyop or mass formation.” He had to go, but he wants to continue this conversation in person or by phone, which is nice. Then, as I woke up this morning, a thought came to me about just how “mainstream” these theories have become. Not just a few people online, but friends in meatspace.
I was a bit stunned when that thought hit me. I sometimes saw it online, on forums, here and there. I never thought that I was some kind of renaissance man, or even very well educated (I do have a bachelors degree). Maybe I actually am now...like in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king sort of way. I’ve just done enough things in my life to disprove all of these notions to myself, experimentally, PoW style, in chemistry labs, film cameras and darkrooms and digital photography, in aerospace and with VHF/UHF radios...
It also was a wake-up call for me: what am I buying from snake-oil salesmen? I’m sure I am buying something from someone, somewhere, that I shouldn’t be, about something. So, if you got this far, GM!!!

no camera has the dynamic range to capture anything but sunspots because the sun is so bright....you need to watch an eclipse -- cameras can capture some of it, but you really need to see it for yourself -- 2017 and 2024 photos I made -- this is nothing compared to the naked eye though, these are single exposures; you can come close with composites of dozens of different exposures though

I recommend a nightlock (or similar) for your exterior doors. Even with breaching rounds and a ram, it will take a minute to get through (and give you some loud noise before the actual breach) and will probably need to use a saw, or explosives, especially if they arent aware you use this thing. This might give you a little time to burn/wipe/break whatever you need to. Not much time, 1-2 min, but better than 0, especially if you pre-plan. Obviously if you have first floor windows, gotta secure those too.
Won't help you keep anything, but keep your property out of their hands at least.

The Earth's circumference was first calculated in 240 BC by Eratosthenes using the angle of the Sun during the solstice in 2 cities 500 miles apart (the measurement took 1 year: he walked from Aswan to Alexandria to take the measurement there at the following solstice).
