Double check the power supply. Make sure it's 5v and then also try a replacement first. I have had a few of these cheap power supplies degrade enough that they no longer work with my Bitaxe.

I finally got @nprofile…fzye 's Bitaxe Intel Reference Design System, "BIRDS", hashing. It is currently getting just under 1TH/s on @nprofile…f0wt 's hydra pool ( https://dash.256f.org ). This is the first bitaxeorg device based on the Intel BZM2 asic that we've got working.
I'm very relieved to see it hashing for once. It was very difficult to get this one going, but now that I have working reference, porting and creating libraries can begin for real.

My guess is it's difficult to stick to counting calories just like it's difficult to workout regularly so people dont do it and instead rationalize a reason why it's useless or impossible.
I count my calories every day and have come to the same conclusion about how little room there actually is to maintain a proper caloric deficit. It's especially hard when stressed from work or exercise. I find it to be a valuable tool for health and am also surprised by how close calorie estimations are from Garmin watches.

My anecdotal experience is that more senior engineers are handling this better since they were already at the point in their career where coding was no longer interesting and software engineering became mostly having clear design and architecture goals and then delegating tasks to the team.

Colleagues that aren't semi-retired already with that level of experience are having a blast. They are vibe coding tooling around it so that everyone on the team can realize the benefits of vibe coding even on a large enterprise code base. I think everyone is convinced recently that this will be a real productivity boost. Very confident compared to 6 months ago. Reasoning process flows + large context windows unlocked a lot.

That would be the opposite of deprecation. It's adding a whole layer of testing and api management as well as a new target for release. It's an amazing project and Bitcoin core needs to grow not get smaller. They have the best engineers in the whole open source bitcoin space.

It's kind of an opposite deadlift where you are lowing the weight instead of picking it up. It's a slow and methodical exercise so you don't need a lot of weight at all for it to be effective. The idea is to stick your butt out as far as possible while keeping your chest forward and shoulders back and lower the bar slowly right in front of your shins.
It was explained to me that sitting so much causes a lot of people to have shortened hamstring muscles which creates tension on your lower back and hip flexors. Romanian deadlifts help by stretching your hamstrings under load. Doing that sort of stretching using heavy weight seems to produce much more permanent adaptations where static stretching never seems to help.
An alternative exercise that I have had success with is doing paused squats but that is more complex and taxing so its not as easy to do multiple times a week.
