It's not really. But since I couldn't do it in on press I had to take into consideration the space that would be filled by 3 additional letters on the second press. There's also just the possibility to fuck up because you mismeasured a millimeter. Or by accident your stamping tool is *slightly* crooked and it shows on final result.
It's not that difficult but you have to really take take the time to do it well without rushing.
If you look at this one for example I missed. It's too much on the right. Idk how I did this but clearly I didn't measure correctly.

No not yet. My goal is to build an other store for finished products ready to be shipped. From Leathermint I was always selling ordered to be made and I want to get away from this model as much as possible. So, if I can, I won't reopen until I have a stock to sell.
But look, if there's something you really want, tell me. I may not accept your order immediately but I'll take note of it and reach back when I'm ready to order materials. Problem is it became so expensive to import that I have to batch people's order for it to make sense for me.

It's the same I used for the books. I have a lot of scrap for making the books that are just big enough to make cardholders and keychains out of it.
It's such a nicely soft leather that is fun to hold so making cardholders out of it make so much sense.

I constantly get stuck on the smallest details. There are these days I'm ready to work, install myself, get to it and then.. then suddenly I start wondering if I should do it this or that way. This or that color. This or that seal. So I stop. I'm blocked. I have to make a decision and I can't do it. I can't ask anyone either. I know it's useless. Wether I ask or not I'll end up taking my own decision. Very often when I get to the point of asking my decision is already made wether I realize it or not.
Now I'm asking myself this or that seal. I thought my decision was made earlier this week but as soon as I started, well, I started doubting myself. I WANT to give the honor to The Saif House. I like the idea. But if we remove all meaning to look simply at objective aesthetic, does it look better? The seal is bigger. Does a bigger seal enhance and complement the appearance or does it hurt it. The bigger seal is also harder to use for many tiny reasons.
The problem here is that those questions are valid but so... Kind of unimportant. In the sense that, no matter which one I pick, it will look good. The differences are minuscule. Both have their benefits. And I like both a lot.
So here I am writing a text about choosing a seal instead of doing my actual job. I might go back to a leathermint seal. I love the idea of giving the honor to The Saif House, but the seal is bigger and I don't think it complements the overall aesthetic. The big seal also make it more difficult to hide mistakes. I'm just not feeling it. I keep asking myself of it's the right decision. If something doesn't feel quite right I should probably just listen to my guts.

That's an interesting perspective. I think we can see lending as economic activity. But in that case, if we look at the small village hypothetical, I feel like the lender would also now be incentivized in staying in the same network. Or else how can he get his funds back. But I'm not sure I have a hard time seeing how debt plays out in this scenario. Because debt is kind of an other ledger but personal between lender and borrower.

When thinking about such questions I always imagine a small village of 1000 people without internet.
If they were to implement a new ledger and after a few years 50 guys with very low economic activity come together to leverage their stash and threaten to "dump it all" why would any of the villagers give a single fuck? At worse some merchants will see their cashflow slightly reduced. But if those guys fork away and lose the ability to transact with the rest of the villager, they will die. Hunger will catch up very fast.
The farmer has leverage over the butcher and the butcher has leverage over the store and the store has leverage over the customer and vice Versa.
The rich guys who do nothing? Which leverage or importantance do they have in the economy? None. They aren't an economic node. Not simply from the fact that they verified their own transactions to cold storage.
I simply don't see it in a real world scenario.

Many people say that having a large stash of Bitcoin makes you an economic. I disagree. I think it's rich people coping. They want to believe the money they made from trading futures or other such bullshit make them important. Having the ability to affect short term price action is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. "I will dump on you" simply can't be good leverage when it comes to implementing a ledger or an other in an economy.
"I will stop spending on you"
Oh now we're talking. But the leverage doesn't come from your stash persay. It comes from your real world economic activity. As time go by, the size of your stash will become more and more irrelevant.

I do not dread "going to work" like I used to with a job. It's not the same thing. Not at all.
But
I still work. I still find this work demanding. Sometimes I'm too lazy. Sometimes I don't really want to do it.
But once the work is done... Wow. I see myself moving forward. Not simply standing there with a paycheck.
