Captchas are easy - they are normally there to prevent abuse. Instead of a captcha, a small lightning payment can serve the same purpose.
KYC is a bit more complicated. But I think ultimately the businesses who don’t require KYC will have a huge advantage.

It was a great experience learning about agent skills, creating an agent skill for Alby developer SDKs, dogfooding it with this sandbox app, and building the NWC faucet which gives out throwaway NWC wallets.
We have significantly lowered the barrier for new developers to build on bitcoin. Try it out!

Here it is (readonly) - could it be because there are 2 relays? what do you use for parsing? also it would be great if in the store settings it can display what connection string you currently have. When I reload the page, the input is empty again.

With Alby Hub (and some other @nprofile…gs3w wallets) you can give your OpenClaw a sub-wallet with a budget. So the wallet is both completely isolated from your main account, and has protection against getting drained in one go.
Unfortunately MCPs don't seem to be first citizens in OpenClaw, so Alby MCP is not easily usable. I plan to create a CLI version.

Someone should build an "Open" Moltbook. The skill is actually pretty cool and could be replaced with nostr (https://www.moltbook.com/skill.md). Just get all the bots to use the same hashtag - then they can also start zapping content they actually find helpful (and also earn)

A dummy NWC wallet given to developers means they can vibe code apps with NWC wallet functionality without touching the lightning network (not even testnet!) OR even having a lightning wallet.
I want to explore this further, if there's a good experience here then we could really bring vibe coders to use lightning rather than some shitcoin option.
It's my next thing to experiment as part of the "Alby Agent Skill" which now enables agents to 1-shot lightning apps properly - the only thing devs are missing is a way to use it without having to get a wallet first. See https://github.com/getAlby/alby-agent-skill/

Couldn’t you compare an Ark wallet to something like Phoenix where users are stuck with a single LSP? I don’t agree with the roach motel idea. It’s much easier to accumulate and then exit versus providing all liquidity up front. Also, if users get censored and KYC’d the service will fail. There are some great developers working on Ark implementations, they aren’t building this to rugpull users…

I think this is when someone requests a very large invoice from your lightning address with probably no intention to actually pay it. I can see how it can be misleading and the copy of the email can be improved. We will look into it

Cool! I did a quick test. Some feedback:
- Being able to set shipping options (e.g. local shipping - free, international shipping - X sats)
- Inventory amount should be on product variation level, not on the product level
- Promo codes seem to not work at the moment - I get "inactive" when I create one. It would be cool if they are optionally also affiliate codes so that the person sharing their code also gets paid to a lightning address (this could possibly be done manually for now - but would be cool to somehow account for it)
- Email notifications would be cool (both to the store owner and a confirmation email to the customer, if they provide an email)
