Violinist and teacher, building a homestead on raw land in between lessons and concerts. Fascinated by how we can develop resilience in our lives, in our families, in our communities. I'm excited about freedom tech and circular economies, and am deeply grateful for the devs and advocates who are helping build tools for a better future.

Last Notes "echo chamber" would be my name for that There are allegations of all sorts of stuff in the files. Notice that he didn't say "evidence that" or "proof that." (not to defend Trump, but my instinct is that his evil here is in helping hide whatever is in there and of course in working closely with the Epstein class - so maybe it doesn't really matter) cool! we've done a few batches like that but often had a hard time getting the outside wood to burn hot enough so now we use a pit - but that's way messier (actually messier and also messier looking). Hope it works well for you! you know that they can both be terrible, right? and in the primaries they voted - overwhelmingly - for the candidate who campaigned on "no new wars" Many didn't quite believe him but it was as convincing a case as any of the others made, including one who literally put her autograph on missiles headed for Gaza. Nice! we have apple trees, a few pears, lots of figs (also mulberry, peaches, plums, goumi) I know that these people are horrible, but even leaving humanity and morality out of it, even just for optics: don't bomb a school ffs Are you under the impression that different voting in the US would have meant peace? GM, everyone. I just bspent 10 minutes outside in the sun cutting weeds and using them to mulch some fruit trees. I can't do anything about the war machine, but I can do that. oh, nice! because you're getting more sun with the longer days? at this point I totally believe that this is possible the part that doesn't make sense to me - why release this document? one of the best forms of solar energy ๐ ha! fair enough I'm not usually inclined to lecture but your response was just so absurd Calle: I made this cool thing possible response: wow, great! let me fool around and see if I could vibe code something for iOS. Or maybe I don't know how to do that but I'll keep my eye out for someone who does. In any case, thanks for throwing this out there. you: duh it's not enough Actually Israel being an outpost of US intelligence kind of makes sense to me Glad the baby is doing well ๐ Also I read the note three times before I understood that it was another appointment - and not another baby - that was coming in 5 weeks ๐ My pitch to a few people has been - it's 21 million coins for 8 billion people. Just buy your share, or even part of your share. I believe there are non-KYC loan platforms that rely on some kind of escrow protocol. You'd still be using fiat, but that would be peer-to-peer lending rather than through a centralized exchange. Not sure if that's what they mean or they just hate the idea of borrowing in general. my husband and I literally built our house with our own hands rather than take a mortgage but the idea that only slaves borrow sounds ridiculous to me yes, I get that I just interact with so many folks for whom opting out is just not an option (psychologically) whereas getting familiar with bitcoin as a currency makes that whole idea much more accessible. I don't really disagree with this overall line of thinking, actually. This is my personal approach (with food, with money, with media). (hodling and circular economy are mutually exclusive with any one sat, but as actions they are not; you can do both with your money) hodling and circular economy are not mutually exclusive I appreciate the bridges. There are a number of people around me who are now curious about bitcoin primarily because there are tools like Strike, and I'll work on getting them further in - including spending their sats - but Strike was a very very helpful first step I don't get this Strike hate. It's an option for folks who need fiat and don't want to sell their bitcoin and don't want to feed the cap gains monster. It may slow the building of a circular economy but my guess is that loss will be balanced by more individuals who see hodling as an option, as part of a sustainable personal system. In 2020 I thought that if Biden were elected, the American left would calm down about Covid. Boy was I wrong what are you referring to? appreciate you, Odell ๐ I wish we could all see some good faith adjustments from Core. I don't know enough to even know what that might look like, but it would go a long way to calm things down. From the perspective of many of us, v30 was handled so badly that it's hard not to attribute bad motives to it. The corollary is also true: Bitcoin Core having screwed up does not make a soft fork a good idea for Bitcoin. (FWIW I'm still trying to figure this whole thing out, so I'm not making any claims here except that your logic goes both ways. I see so many people assuming that since they don't like A that B is the solution.) All family members would be even better But Congress doesn't seem to vote on war anymore. #nevent1qโฆs6yq So good to see this - the best kind of building! oh ...๐ because of all the age verification/digital ID stuff coming down the pike? there's so much I'm ok with not seeing - even happy not to see - but I will really miss YouTube. I learn a lot on YouTube. We're just saving seeds from any apples we buy. Have you seen David the Good videos on starting fruit trees from seed? He's got a peach (nectarine?) that he started from seed and shows it in a video just a few years later and it's doing great. I don't know if you have animals, but with poultry or pigs in particular, even if you get mealy apples it's a nice tree and terrific fodder for them. But I'll take a look at the link! EFN looks great. Fruit trees are my favorite investment โฅ๏ธ This year I'm hoping for more cuttings (figs grow ridiculously easily from cuttings) and I'm even trying some apple seeds. I know that it's unlike that we'll get a good eating apple, but I'm curious what might grow. So far the plums I've planted aren't doing great, so someone recommended the Auburn University varieties, which I think have been bred for more disease resistance in my area. Yesterday I planted AU Producer AU Rosa Fingers crossed... How are your Japanese plums doing? Are they old enough to fruit? GM, Nostr friends! I'm planning to get a few plum trees and lots of strawberry plants into the ground today. Hope you all have a wonderful day and get some time outside โ๏ธ It's not loading for me, but I remember this clip And here's the thing - it's possible that he misspoke, but even so the arrogance is quite something: we can create and impose all these things because we know what's best for humanity every time I look up research that claims not to have ties to pharma, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is right up at the top Yeah, I've been thinking the same thing There's a ton of gross stuff out there, but most of it is power brokers doing power-broker shenanigans. Your blob at work. Who is surprised by that? people who didn't seem to have anything to do with kids are getting dragged into it and even though sex trafficking probably happened there's not a ton in these emails that would lead directly to an arrest And it's all we're talking about ๐ so for you "not close to 100%" in fact means zero please don't apply for any jobs that require good reading comprehension None of the many Jewish people I know are power-hungry crazies. Zero I don't know what the percentage is, but it's not close to 100% It's the poor logic that bothers me as much as the hatefulness. If you're upset about the power hunger that you think is common in a particular group, the problem isn't some other characteristic of that group. It's the hunger for power. By definition that's the problem. I didn't say "what about white supremacists" You answered as if I had, but I hadn't I was making an analogy Seems that was too complex Peace, dude. Good luck with all that hate that's not whataboutism The overwhelming majority of the media oligarchs, bankers etc are men. Why are you not attacking men? Maybe there's just a problem with men. (I know there's not a general problem with men, but using your logic, that's a reasonable conclusion) My hypothetical was about the absurdity of using some members of a group to generalize about all members of a group. I was definitely not making any claims about white people. Agree about Epstein. Do you know Jewish people who do not see non- Jews as livestock? I have some follow up thoughts and questions, but by the time we get to name calling, I'm out. If people were to leak files of a whole bunch of white supremacists, you would naturally conclude "white people want everyone else dead or enslaved" This isn't about Jewishness. It's about horrible power-hungry people who think they're above everyone else. I don't know exactly why it's going down or who is selling, but I think most of us that you're talking to on Nostr probably have been smash buying. #asknostr I'm trying to use Tor and I keep losing connection Any tips besides quitting and trying again? we gave up on repairing one of ours this year. had someone look at it, and I'm glad we did at this point I'll applaud anyone who recognizes the dangers of money printing. I don't really care if they're advocating using cows, metals... whatever. I think bitcoin is a better money, but if you don't like what fiat has done to our world, I'm on your team. #nevent1qโฆm2m2 @nprofileโฆ6dtc is in the official financial world (in a way that I appreciate... seems like Strike is an overwhelming net positive for freedom and bitcoin, and I've used it to extend the Overton window for some people near me who would never have considered bitcoin). If you work within that world, you're going to rub shoulders with some nasty people. Actually, if you exist in the world you're probably going to work with some nasty people at some point. #nevent1qโฆq3e2 I have to re-set my wallet so you might not be able to zap me, but there are plenty of great notes to zap on here! Have fun : ) or maybe it's just brought to you by an Iranian woman who's on Nostr It's possible that Israel propagandizes us AND that the current situation is critical for Iranians. Those two are not mutually exclusive. It's interesting that many who said yes are mocking what they think are the reasons that people didn't get it. References to 5G and microchips Seriously - if you get a medical intervention, hopefully it's because you've really looked into it and not because you think the loudest conspiracy theory around it is crazy. wait - you've had 10 covid jabs? (and you think the argument against them is something about 5G?) You basically make your own algorithms with your follows. I keep it very simple and only follow accounts, but you might be able to also get into your feed posts that touch on particular topics. Hi - welcome to Nostr! Take a look at @nprofileโฆ0hy6 profile. He has some very good introductory posts to Nostr that you should be able to find. In the meantime, type into the search any particular things that interest you and find some accounts to follow that touch on those things. From there you'll start to find more and more people that you're interested in following. I think the point of the post is that independently of the issues involved, a central government is exerting control (and it will likely continue to extend beyond the stated purpose) I totally agree with this Just not sure I trust any footage that we're seeing so I feel like I have no idea what actually happened. I'm not disputing that they need more training, and I wasn't the one to disagree about execute vs enforce I'm just saying that surrounding and provoking guys with guns is a dangerous game, and the training has to be so powerful that it overrides the fundamental instincts of self-preservation. If I were confronted with people who clearly hated me, then they surrounded me and my colleagues and I were outnumbered... no amount of training would prevent me from recognizing real danger there. I recently heard @nprofileโฆw2ua mention that Bukele seems to be very pro-self custody for Salvadorans. I was surprised but happy to hear that. I'm curious if you see evidence of that among the people - that they are holding btc themselves and/or that they are being encouraged to do so through official channels. Where you live: has it never been inhabited by a people who are no longer there? oh - sorry! you being blocked makes no sense to me your GFY made sense ๐ huh that makes no sense to me but ๐คทโโ๏ธ If Laser your example of "people involved in Bitcoin and Nostr" then you either need to expand your follows or you're just looking for a reason to be upset. appreciate the response, and you're right: my wording wasn't great. I believe that your pattern recognition is off, and I'm not clear on why the group is important at all unless the group is "bankers" (or "central bankers"). Why make Jewishness a consideration? Sincere question: for @nprofileโฆ08fs and other the folks on here that blame everything on "the Jews," are you also making charts that show how many Jewish economists have dominated the Austrian school? Or, in a different subject, the Jewish musicians who have dominated the classical music world? That allows a different pattern to emerge. I keep hearing that Trump basically does Art of the Deal all the time. Threaten something huge, let everyone totally freak out, then settle on what you wanted from the beginning. "private issuer of bitcoin" ๐ ๐ ๐ sounds like you have a plan! propane space heaters? Using bitcoin when it's at the start of its rise isn't quite fair, but do this with gold! it's very interesting. Everything I checked - even real things like beef and eggs - dropped in price when measured in gold. welcome! You'll get flak from bitcoiners on here but I think it's great to have the conversations, and Monero is the one other coin which generates interesting threads on here. Also - there are a ton of usury and fiat haters here, plenty of good homeschool conversations, and lots of raw milk fans Animal confinement is terrible, which is why it's not how we raise our animals and why I'm careful with where we buy any of our food. Big agriculture - whether of grains or meat - is horrible for animals and the environment. I know what the naturalistic fallacy, but can you explain why you're bringing it up in this thread? I don't think everything natural is good, but I do think that biology is a reasonable starting point to look at human systems and actions. I love this!! (also - and I hope this you take this as the compliment that it is - have you considered making this into a puzzle? because it would be an awesome puzzle, and I would spend an evening listening to macro podcasts and recreating your artwork piece by piece) this is the best!!! top photo, lower right - is that a tea plant? @nprofileโฆxsvf Dude, you turned "they" in a post about doctors and medical schools into a racial slur. Burden of proof is definitely on you. Yes, "not necessarily" is a good way to phrase it. I've seen how wild animals kill their prey and it's definitely not how we kill our livestock. Nature can be an excellent starting point and guide but it can also be quite cruel. no, it's definitely not but I would be more worried about the toxins than whatever the latest virus scare is. Don't get milk - raw or processed - from factory farms or from cows that are exposed to industrial waste. how is whole food anti-scientific? we can't trust private companies with our money but surely we can trust a handful of power-hungry unelected bureaucrats ๐คฆโโ๏ธ well, we would have failed I've been experimenting with short (30-ish hour) dry fasts. I've water fasted in the past, and this is definitely different. No hunger, no weird electrolyte imbalance issues, but way lower energy! It's like everything's normal - I feel totally fine - but I'm running at something like 75% capacity. The day after each dry fast, my energy and mood are insane. As in, randomly dancing around while talking with my husband because it's just too hard to stand still. I think this continues for a few days but the first day is most pronounced. Autophagy on dry fasting is supposed to be amazing. I don't have anything in particular to heal but I like the idea of it as a consistent health protocol. @nprofileโฆ6dtc posted about fasting recently (and mentioned that he doesn't like dry fasting) Anyone with fasting experience care to share? #fasting very hard to remove roots! I like digging, but it's heavy work and I've only had to contend with small sumac roots. Yes, makes sense about seed/fruit. Not sure how that metaphor continues - that it was an invasive that's taken over everything? At first, a relatively clean (I mean, bloody and horrible, but well-packaged) fruit and now moving us toward chaos? I definitely should not assume that
