I pushed an update to bully the robot to call the build_project tool automatically. I suspect there's an error with building that it isn't seeing which is why you're only getting a blank site. If it calls the tool it'll see the error and be able to remedy. You'll need to refresh and click "update" then hopefully it will improve new projects. For your existing projects, tell it to "build the project" explicitly and this should surface any errors to you.

It has been obscenely expensive so far in my experience, burning through like $100 in just a few hours. I halted by bot for now to see if I can figure how to reduce cost. I'm pretty happy with the cost of Claude Sonnet through OpenCode right now. I think OpenClaw is highly unoptimized for cost at the moment.

It's an AI agent with a folder full of markdown files it can edit itself. It has tools to edit files and run shell commands.
Its folder ("workspace") contains a mix of arbitrary files you work on together, and special system files that affect the bot's behavior: SOUL.md, HEARTBEAT.md, and the memory/ folder.
You DM it over Signal or Telegram and have it manage these files. SOUL.md affects its personality. HEARTBEAT.md is used every 30 minutes by the Node.js process to spawn a new temporary AI session, enabling it to do things all day long. To avoid repeating work, it stores work it already did in its memory/ folder.
tl;dr it's a living AI agent. You give it access to a full computer, so it's a living AI agent with a full computer system just for itself. This has been possible for over 1 year now already, and many of us have thought about it, but I think nobody did it because it sounds like a very bad idea to just like AI roam free like that with no security guardrails. But obviously it was inevitable.

Yes, this is what I did with Ditto and it's a very good system. You essentially build a relay into your client. You have to be committed to making it perfect though, or it will be a huge crux.

I don't see why not. You just take the first relay response on a per-request basis; doesn't matter the transport. With Tor you might get less consistency as to which relays respond fastest.

This method is too complex for me. It's too easy to fall into performance traps. You know in theory how the code works but it's difficult to trace or debug. You can design a UI around it but the UI needs to break "is_loading" out into multiple steps, or use a queue. Plus you have to manage active REQs, potentially merging new queries into them. The dumb and easy way is to treat REQs like http requests that you cache and refetch in response to user actions (eg user scrolls back to the top after scrolling down).

I don't know why it took like 4 years to discover this advancement in Nostrology that's incredibly obvious.
Make other relays in the pool race the fastest relay. No complex scoring system or relay manager needed. Just start a very short timeout (eg 200ms) after the first EOSE from any source to allow for other relays to get a word in.
This prioritizes fast relays, as we should. It might even come down to latency of whichever relays are closest to you (a happy accident of this system that promotes geographical distribution).

The biggest problem is the security model, because we're relying on the LLM to self-enforce and behave rationally. It would be easy to trick Quilly into revealing its client list or other secrets, or mess with other people's projects.

Yes but it has a special system prompt including a self-managed SOUL.md file and memory/ directory. You build up the bot through conversation, then you can access the same not (same memories) through multiple different channels.

Something that's amazing about this blog post that our whole team indirectly contributed to it in our Team Soapbox channel on Signal. Everybody was chatting with Quilly on Signal in total chaos, and Quilly ended up including small pieces of that information and opinions in the blog.
