Deflation/capped supply is not by itself a value proposition. My daughters children's drawings before she turned 10 has a capped supply. The world has seen billions of artists and craftsmen through out history. Their capped supply can in very, very rare occasion work as a limitation relatively to demand that will drive up price.
The demand part needs to build on something other than a supply alone. Otherwise the only features it has is attracting and enrolling new participants. The clear definition of a ponzi scheme.

In some countries apartments, or specific residential apartments are not taxed.
But, it's beside the point. You can live well in an apartment for $2000/mnt. in most countries on this earth. Even in a western country it should not be a problem to find an apartment for $500/mnt.

I agree with today's static view you have to invest in Nasdaq 100 technology index to get above 16% percent. Invest in assets like gold, silver or monero.
You also assume that people will not attribute a single dollar to society afterwards. Not, any work, any freelance, any art, any movement that will provide any profit.
But, is that realistic? Will you not always create, help out here and there..?

If you have $2,000/mnt you can basically live a life most people can only dream about. Traveling practically 80% of the world and have plenty.
To get $2,000/mnt I will assume that a 10% ROI is the absolute minimum on basically all investments today (even p2p lending, company bonds, real estate rent etc. almost all reach that level today). So, here we expect that the real ROI is between 12-16% and there fore still allows for grows of 2-6% PA.
So, you need an invested saving of 12x2000 (USD 24000 a year) x10 to get this interest. So, USD 240,000. Yes, it's still a lot of money!
But, let's say you have USD 100,000 today and you get 16% interest. How many years will it take you to reach 240,000? It will take 5yr and 6 month. This is hardly enough time to plan out your life in freedom.
You may also consider how to reduce or eliminate taxation of your saving/investment from day one.

Monero will go right back up again. The liquidity on the CEX's is just very small compared to all other coins. So, there is not much to consume this sell off in particular when you consider that most of the "real" buyers are not using the CEX's and these are still the ones setting the "official" price.
The need for xmr is only increasing. So, the second this speculative wave of sell orders has slowly been consumed by real monero bro's, price will settle on a normal level again and monero will have changed hands from the wrongs to the rights.

When you have bought stocks and assets for borrowed money (leverage), you get liquidated when the loan exceed a certain ratio of valuation.
Things can escalate very quickly and broaden into real este, employment etc.

But, my hope is that if:
- People can transfer their wealth (the little they may have) through tools like ex. Monero without confiscation.
- Speak other languages like English or Spanish.
- Have access to free P2P information about the world.
- Have access to destinations that provide long term VISA for foreigners.

These days I get confirmed in my assumption that administering half of my pension, by my self. Was one of the best decisions I ever made.
Getting late into the game 35 yrs old, with a low wage I had to make some more "risky" decisions about pension. But, here 10yrs later with 750% return (a bit better than nasdaq 100) I am considering when to stop paying into a pension. At this point and pace it really do not make sense to continue to pay after I'm 50.
I would encourage any young person to do the same. I would not directly call pension funds a scam or a ripoff. But, you will pay many fees and your money will end up in places you would never consider good investments yourself (like U.S. Treasuries), to "minimize" risk AND return's.

As soon as people realizes that they don't sleep well in their expensive mansion. That they need an extensive alarm subscription and a dog that needs care, constant repairs, high property tax, fear of robbery.
It is often to late. People are stuck in social setting and reputation, geographical and professional settings that is close to impossible to get out of again.

They might soon loose control of Monero's valuation. I doubt that speculators are causing significant dumps, xmr is not really a pump'n dump coin. It only makes sense to go long in Monero as an investor.
I suspect that, beyond all the FUD, the Qubic attack, delistings on CEX and criminalization of xmr. "They" (who ever they are) mine all they can with a loss. The fact that the liquidity of monero on the few CEX's and DEX is very small, dumping these mined coins in batches have an effect on the temporary market price. But, it seems more clear than ever that they have a hard time continuing down this path and their price dominance is running out.
The second big inflow of Monero, that is more inline with the "medium of exchange" principles. Is the fact that Monero is one of most (if not the most) used coins. Many businesses will either convert (swap) it on spot to another crypto they use as store of value. Many also swap their xmr donations or payments due to compliance reasons. All these coins hit the exchange constantly, creates volume and a stability that prevents Monero from going to the moon over night.

My experience is, that salary is pretty fixed. You can change job and get a small bump you can try to build a business it takes years. Cutting expences is way easier than getting income increases. Even illegal activities like carding is difficult and does not provide huge profits. Be careful the are business build up around fast money schemes.

You can ban alcohol, cannabis, gold, eggs and open source code including Monero. Many attempts has been made on this throughout history.
The countries that allow Monero (outside G7) will get a huge influx of wealth transfer. Let's say Paraguay or Kenya do not enforce a monero ban on swapping or commercial activity.
You could limit the use in legitimate commerce in G7. But, I think it will hurt the G7 harder than Monero. There may be a few traders left on the CEX that will run away. But, I will continue to find ways to use xmr outside the G7 and the dark web will continue.
It could as easily get more attractive to opt in to Monero. EU have "banned" Monero, even normie's in EU are now curious about Monero.

The market cap on Monero is still less than 1/100 of BTC. It has the potential to go way further, it has only appreciated 240% the last year.
I'll put it like this.
- If you bought BTC below USD1000 and decided not to go into Monero. I expect you have sound rational reasoning behind you decision, compliance, risk of unwanted attention from government etc.

I understand that division in society is high, maybe more than it has ever been.
My fear is that everyone has lost sight of the real problem, the root cause of all the troubles or "symptoms" we see today. I fear that the whole ICE thing is a diversion and not a sincere attempt do anything about illegal emigration. I would start by moving your BTC to a new BTC wallet on Cake Wallet (only mobile so far). Then I would create a Monero wallet on Cake Wallet too. Then I would swap in chunks to the Monero wallet.
Or I would just use Trocador or Orangefren to swap from wallet to wallet. In chunks.

Monero without any hesitation! You can always swap to BTC if that will ever make sense for you when you need FIAT.
- You don't want a target on your back or sleep bad at night because you are unsure about who can trace your BTC to you. Way to many people has been social engineered, robbed, kidnapped and killed on that account.
- You don't want someone as the US gov (any government) to come up with a huge tax claim on your perceived balance.
- You want to be the sole decision maker on where and when you decide to pay you tax.
- In this quantum age we move into, you want to hold your asset in what is possible most resistant to that. Monero when FCMP++ is implemented.
- Simply based on market cap. Don't expect BTC to make a 10x within the next 15 years (maybe ever). Monero have the potential to do that within a reasonably time horizon. ROI
I'm not sure about the best wallet option. But, I would probably spread it out on multiple different wallets. And make sure your family can somehow access your funds if you disappear.
