I watched a video with only a couple hundred views about how the wisdom of the crowd about parasocial relationships is wrong, and I have to say, I agree totally.
He said that parasocial relationships, contrary to popular belief, are bidirectional. This rings true to me.
I remember dozens of followers from my various pseudonyms and meme pages across the years. Some, I only remember the person behind the nym, but not the nym. They've touched my soul in ways they won't know until the end. I'm sure many who I've followed, looked up to, and interacted with feel the same about me.

I know I shouldn't, with how much time I burn on nothingness. Maybe I do need to relax and waste some time, but I just always feel like I'm doing half what I need to at best. Even when I was working overtime while doing college and sleeping only 4-5 hours a night — an obviously unsustainable standard — even then, I still felt insufficient.
It pains me because I know what I'm capable of in bursts, and I want to force myself into that level of output all the time, but it's just not how things work. In my pursuit of perfection, I burn out, every time.

Guys I'm going to become a genius programmer over the next couple years and I will start shitting out a bunch of amazing products, all of which will be open source.
AI related stuff will be copyleft or some special AI license, and everything else will be MIT where possible. I want to design public domain hardware and manufacturing processes too, but that might be decades away.

The answer to cybernetics is wireless reading of the brain and simple augmented reality glasses / contacts (someday).
I want a Linux computer in my glasses. If we can't read brain waves through the skull or something, we can just invest further in Meta wrist strap type things.
Those wrist straps combined with neural networks could enable all the controls you can do with your hands. Typing could be relatively fast. You could easily implement CharaChorder style chorded entry.

I think electric radiators would be safer, faster, and more efficient than water or steam based ones. A boiler can explode. We already have electricity throughout.
And what I mean by more points of failure is that you have multiple small heaters to manage instead of one big one. The benefit is that you have one thing to maintain, but the drawback is that when it breaks, you have no heat at all. If each room has its own heater, when one breaks, the rest of the house still has working heaters.
You've got me thinking though, I wonder how efficient it would be to just expose pipes and circulate hot water through them with a slightly upgraded water heater. With inline heating, you wouldn't have any explosion risk hmmmmm you know what color me convinced

This is interesting but fundamentally you are still modifying the air temperature with a radiator, just more locally.
If you wanted to replace central heating, you would end up using space heater type of things that have fans to get the air circulating.
There are pros and cons to decentralizing AC. I think it could work really well if there was a central computer that managed the individual ACs and prevented you from wasting too much energy by lowering or raising your heat. We need actual smart homes.

I think people dislike radiators because they can be a fire hazard and they provide more points of failure than a centralized radiator that heats the air. Floor heating is hard to argue with, but that also provides more points of failure. The fuel savings might be offset by maintenance costs.
But I've always liked the idea of each room having its own AC/heat. I like my room to be below 21⁰C (below 70F). Sometimes I want it to be really warm, but I don't want to increase the temperature of the whole house. It takes a long time for my room to warm up with its one vent that blows lukewarm.

I had a J35Z3 in my accord, really wanted to boost it. Its not as easy as their 4cyls.
Maybe no V8 but they are sitting on something insane for sure. Maybe it's just a built 3.0t from the type s (like 550+hp).

Hot take: within 3 decades, building on orbit will be substantially cheaper than building on Earth, commercially at least. Open source designs will make this possible.
Individuals will be able to get permits to build on orbit easier than on land, and spaceflight will be even cheaper and more accessible than we anticipate. Car industry predictions for the next decade:
1. Mazda brings back Mazdaspeed (or rebrand as MSR, which would be a big miss). They will take the CX-70 RWD based platform with the longitudinal 3.3t I6, and make a longitudinal , AWD Mazdaspeed 6 to compete with BMW, Acura, Cadillac, and now Dodge (hurricane). Probably auto only.
2. Toyota puts their boosted V8 in the Lexus F cars (and 500s).
3. Honda reveals a boosted V8 and an improved turbo 6, and an e-turbo V3 for bikes, and a larger odd number V engine for cars, maybe in place of a new turbo 6, like a V5. Maybe they won't invest in the odd Vs, but they are working on something BIG in secret, I smell it. Like new S2000 big, S2030 or something.
4. Dodge shifts the Charger to be electric only and creates a new Challenger that is gas only.
5. GM invests a huge amount of money in the LF3 twin turbo V6 so it can match the output of the Hurricane motor from Dodge. They release a Chevy version of the Cadillac CT4. They might release a new turbo 4 to compete with the EA888 and K series.
6. Ford releases a new Ford GT with over 1000 HP, RWD only, like the corvette ZR1.
7. Ford brings back a hot hatch, the market shits itself.
8. Dodge releases a new Viper to compete with the GR GT, Corvette ZR1, and whatever Ford comes out with.
9. Nissan eliminates the Z line, and brings back the GT-S. R36 flops hard unless they launch it with a GT-S

I was thinking about getting a vertical mouse because mine is kind of hurting my wrist, and then I extended that idea to keyboards because I like weird keyboards. Like I have a CharaChorder CC2 I never use.
I don't really mind regular keyboards, I have my desk like an inch or two too high and I'm too lazy to adjust it.. But having a keyboard like I describe would prevent me from having to lower my desk... Damn I'm lazy 🤣

Someone steal this idea so I don't half ass it in 10 years:
1. Take a split keyboard, like the truly split ones.
2. Put each side on the SIDES of a vertical tower. So you type by holding the sides, holding it almost like a bowling ball in your hands, so your wrists don't rest on the desk.
3. Make the keyboard part adjustable so you can adjust the angle your hands come in at. That way you can use it on the edge of your desk as a short person, reaching up, or you can extend your arms out and reach down into the keyboard.
It would have to be compact so you don't block the monitor, but it would enforce touch typing and improve typing speed and accuracy, and it would solve ergonomic issues for most and reduce the risk of developing carpal tunnel.
If someone else doesnt do it, I might when I am stable in my CS career. I would design an open source design to be 3D printed / manufactured and assembled, a la Lalboard. It would probably use a common split keyboard design as a base.

The main advantage of git over other version control systems is that there is no performance overhead for branching or really committing in general.
Its one thing if you are just having fun, but in a professional environment you have to commit often because at higher volume, you will make mistakes, you will lose work, and you will need to roll back. It takes 5 seconds to combine the commits into one when its stable

Are you squashing commits? I made 10 commits today and 5 are merge commits, but on my machine I actually made like 25 commits to save my progress and I combined them by squashing.
I have an alias "qc" to commit with safety checks, without pushing, so I just spam that like every 20 minutes at least if I'm in the middle of a big change, then I use my "sq" alias to rebase interactively against the next / dev branch, then I use "ps" to push it smartly. Or if I squashed commits I already pushed, I run `git push --force-with-lease origin <branch>` to fix the problems from deleting and adding a commit without risking overwriting someone's changes (even though I'm developing alone)
I only made 5 actual commits that are changes today, but each is a group of 2-6 smaller commits that I combined after. I could have squashed one more to make it 4...
My commit rate was so high before because I didn't know to combine commits, but I was still committing often like you should in case something goes wrong

GrapheneOS is extremely hardened. Google could make special, cheap phones with Graphene for military / police, and just dump a few tiny millions into GrapheneOS development every year. I too love etymology, but the fact that me a somewhat literate native speaker can't remember how to spell French derived words seems like a bit of a problem lol (it's always French 🤣)
This is why I like Shavian though, or just the idea of a new alphabet for English in general. Spelling bureaucrat as byuracrat would never not be seen as anti literate. But if you mask that spelling with a new script, it would lose that negative connotation. It doesn't lose its origin, like we (English) switched from the runic futhorc to the alphabet
