Have I made an app before no not me personally. However I have been on a board which decided how an app should be designed, & the direction it should go in. Yeah it was one of those paper jobs where you just approve/deny give instruction then wait for those devs to come back to you w reports.
The average nostr developer is not working on their own unfunded I don't know where you assumed that from because look at their npubs they got more sats then you & me combined they are funded by the people on here & half of them are funded by vc capital & jack dorsey. The problem is these yups are not working together & bum rushing shitty nostr clients just to make a name for themselves because it's annew platform anyone can shine who will shine first?
But this conversation wasn't directed at a specific developer or just nostr developers alone. It's every dev today the ways they handle themselves to their audience compare it to the devs of 2000. They got more personal & take criticism on their app like it's an attack on their personal identity & lives. Just look at the shit I dealt with last night oh you can't because cry baby dev deleted all his comments which deleted my replies under them & even though I run my own relay this shows that the deletion prevention event only works on your notes not your replies to other notes. So I couldn't preserve my side of the debate & lost his bitch fit on me.
It just goes to show how emotional devs have gotten since 2015.

Your right the person is bad acting. I use to see stuff like that mass tagging in raffles & giveaways. I'm sure on the fediverse theres no contests so theres no real reason to tag all those people. Yeah it don't need to exist & no it's not the devs responsibility to make code worse it's to make it better.

Now I got a question for you when you live in a state that openly scans faces into a database admittingly, has police cameras every 50 ft every directions, turned almost every single street into a one way, constant speed bumps on long streets, every parking lot of every shopping area have multiple police cameras covering every angle of the shopping center. I'm not talking about the MN situation. People do that everywhere period it's sad that people stop & record while asking someone else to do something. One time I was somewhere in a parking lot & a car went on fire it was going to blow. Everyone ran out of the building surrounded the car with their phones out. I got blocked in by people who wanted to record while firemen & cops showed up screaming at people to get back.
They didn't give a fuck they got closer & I had to basically threaten to run people over in order to get out of there I was blocked in completely by firetrucks & people trying to record. I got out obviously the explosion was huge & there were casualties lesson learned.

Checking notes fast it's funny I had a debate last night with the dev of ArcaneChat on Nostr. After it ended they deleted all their notes containing that argument which deletes my replies to them. We need something in the app that archives notes. What I don't understand is I run my own relay & all my notes & replies go to my relay as well.
I have my npub set in my relay to never delete my notes so there should be a backup. However it seems that this never delete your notes does not apply to reply comments on other people's notes. It only applies to notes on your wall which is shitty.
Is there some nostr client which just ignores all delete events & keeps a permanent of everything? I'd like to track the deleted notes down. It was pretty awesome to see emotional backlash over feedback & criticism of the app.

Yea new devs today don't know how to take criticism & feedback on their apps. That's why I respect devs from 2000. They took everything & still kept a professional personality & remained friendly. It's not my justice system it's what we currently have. My justice system would not have a process for the people that's near impossible to invoke. I just know that any anarchy & people turning into militias will only cause martial law & then when martial law is in effect all laws are suspended & people have 0 rights. Have I been played? This has never happened before so we really don't know do we? It feels like freedom & rights don't exist I can understand why. About 90% of the world does not understand law that's why lawyers make big bucks spending their lifetime studying. Invoke meaning do the process. It's not easy to get 60% of a state population in one place. The whole procedure or processes to the procedures of ballot is designed to be next to impossible for the public to invoke because if they could then the government has to adheer by law. But you are right they could break constitutional law how would the domino effect of that react? We will have to one day see & find out.
This procedure all it does is force a law into a courtroom. Theres no voting it's an argument that the law is a danger to the public & either needs to be removed or changed. When it gets to the courtroom stage the people have a lot more leeway to argue something is a danger to the public.
Only there everything said in court has to be considered & just can't be claimed as petty rhetoric. It also puts the media spotlight on the gov if we ever invoked it properly believe me the US would be on international news & the pressure would be on.
Think about what may look worse for them if it got to that stage? Only one way to find out lets pick a state law or federal law & discuss about going about it.

You are correct to a degree. I think we need to invoke it once & see what happens. In over 200 years since the founding of America as far as history recalls it was never invoked until 2018 with the legalization of cannabis in colorado.
Then again no proof was ever shown to show 60% of the states population got out of their house & went to the congressmens office in protest so it could all be smoke & mirrors. I think any state should try the procedure of ballots & use the right to bring an AI law into court to be removed.

Yeah I shouldn't have to jump through hoops to do what I want. What I copy the email address for is at my descretion. Whether it's useful or needed for my use case is my decision. I appreciate your suggestion but I want to copy [email protected] so in order to continue doing that I am sticking to the older version of ArcaneChat & won't update till I know that's back.
When changes like that are made which make no impact & only hinder something that was working just fine I stop updating. If you do put it back so I can copy again let me know & i'll happily update.

Only by the procedures of ballot can change happen anything else is just inciting violence. The problem is schools do not teach the procedures of ballots to the public. The public does not even know they have a right that forces the government to have to take a law to a courtroom to have a judge decide on if it should be changed or removed completely. You would never know about this unless you went to law school to study constitutional law & probably even then most law schools probably don't even teach the procedures of ballot because it directly challenges the state & or federal government.

Wrong it's actually the 5th. The right to due process. What most people don't know is there is a procedure called the procedure of ballots. It's a process that the public has to go through in order for the state or federal government to be forced into putting the law in a courtroom. The right to petition means you have the right to ask which can be told no. The procedure of ballots forces a law to be balloted in court to be removed completely or changed.
To invoke the process is not easy at all it's probably the hardest process to invoke. The process is more designed to actually make it next to impossible for the public to invoke. According to the guidelines 60% of the states population needs to protest publically at the state congressmen's office with one represensative to give documentation to the state congressmen of the "official law in question" the documentation must outline the law specifically it's code, the problem it creates, how that problem affects the public, why it's considered a problem or danger, the purposal of change. An explanation on how this change benefits the public without disrupting the government, & last the demand to the senator by voice that code #### law blah blah blah we the public demand that this law be balloted in a court of law to be either changed or rescinded.
Only then by the 5th amendment the right to due process forces this to have to be acknowledged by the governments & taken to a courtroom for ballot.
They won't teach you this in school but you can learn about this by studying constitutional law.

Yes signal is bad, spyrecord is bad. Simplex does have an app but it's connection with delivery messages is a little quirky which means you need to restart the app if you go in & don't notice any new messages. The quirkiness is being worked out & it won't be till 2027 that everything is built to fix it. But as it is now it works fine enough.
If nobody you know uses it then that's okay i'm sure the people you know are not tech savy enough to know the differences or actually read source code. But what should be common sense to everyone no matter your knowledge is if the governments encourage use of a specific chat app. Common sense red flag = not safe or secure no matter what they bullshit. Also 2fa ensures your identified.
As for these apps that you never heard of they have been around over 4 years now maybe 5 or longer I only started using them 4 years ago. I use this because it looks like instant messenger but really it's encrypted email under the hood which gives a certain usage of functionality. That's WebXDC which allows you to use apps within an email. This means you can use apps in a group & we can interact with each other.

I use this for collaborating with others on documents, running polls for ideas, sharing links privately, & playing small games with friends. But the most important part of these apps. No big brother threatening to ban or call cops like this is some kinda prison camp.

Oh it is. Do you have PS5? Path of Exile 1 isn't crossplay it's on PC & playstation. Path of Exile 2 is crossplay on pc, playstation, xbox, & nintendo I think as well. 2 is a bit easier then one then again it's in beta right now. Still requires brain power to get ahead.

In my state it's illegal to record without consent yet why when I call business why do they tell me this conversations being recorced for quality assurance instead of asking me for my permission? It's within my right to destroy the recording device that is recording me without consent. But if I destroy the police camera recording me without my consent I would be arrested & charged with vandalism & destruction of police property. But ANYONE else is okay. So if you record me with your meta raybands you know damn well i'm ripping those glasses off your face & smashing them with my steel boots.
Don't even put that shit in perviel view of my direction if I see a camera on those lens it's gunna get smashed. Recording audio with smart watch? I'm gunna rip that watch off your wrist or break your arm & rip it off if you resist. If you already did once on the android device then you literally need to factory reset your device or root your phone & somehow figure out exactly where that cookie is delete it then edit the apps that call for it. Which is mainly google play store, & google play services. But who knows if any other google apps call for it. I think even if you use mirc for services that still connects to google & I believe they can still track through that.
